We gather at 6 a.m. each morning to start our day with devotions in the center of the flag poles for the nations.   Below the tent covers is a tile pond and fountain under construction.  Audrey from England, leads this gathering time.

This last weekend on Kona we drove to the Hilo side of the island to spend the weekend with Al’s brother in Pahoa.

Last night at our Sunday Mission Builders team gathering … they surprised us with an anniversary celebration with brownies and ice cream.  One of the ladies on staff at U of N made us each a special tea leaf lea and a gave us a copy of the Hawaiian wedding prayer.  Then different ones prayed for us individually in their own languages.  It was so incredible to hear their prayers  …. That alone is a priceless gift and one that we will always cherish.

Love and blessings to all …… Helen

Firey Glow of a Hawaiian Sunset

Sunset's across a fishing boat on Waikola

Sunset

The Sunsets are so beautiful from this side of the island.   This incredible setting set the sky ablaze then bounced the fiery rays across the lone fishing boat and stretched to our feet on shore at Waikola.

Some of our Canadian team members look anxiously for the sunsets as we arrive for our evening mean on Campus.  Our eating areas are all outside slightly above the Kona bay.

Tonight was an intense revival time at the Thursday night all campus service in the Ohana court (Ohana means family in Hawaiian) this is an open sided covered area large enough to hold the total campus.  Right now there are over 600 people on campus made up of around 48 nations.

Half of the population is from Korea.  So all the services are interpreted for their benefit.  It almost feels like every tongue and tribe surrounds you as you go about the campus and we serve the lunch meals.

Al is dealing with pneumonia and has rested a couple days to regain his strength.

Tomorrow is a full day of fasting and prayer for the total campus.  They do this once a quarter.  The evening meal will be the only mean.  I am looking forward to this time to settle back and be able to listen …  to cease being Martha and enjoy being Mary for a day.  HOW WONDERFUL.
