Missionssssss on the Gooooo ………….. with Pastors Al & Helen

Where and how would you want to spend your 50th wedding anniversary? Well … how about a three week mission assignment and a week on the beach in Hawaii.
Why Hawaii? Al was born and raised in the islands. Both of his grandparents came from the Azores to settle on Kauai. His brother Edgar is on the big island and his sister is on Ohau. I have always wanted the opportunity to do some ministry with YWAM.
Our original plans was to be in Guatemala. Last November we has a special Christmas Basket project in Guatemala (go to newsletter “Christmas Basket” on the web) Thing changed so we looked at relaxing in Mexico …. But our world turned and pointed a new direction opening doors in Hawaii. How tough can that be !!!!!
Time is getting short in preparing for a three week mission to Kailua-Kona with University for the Nations. We are going to do whatever is needed on the campus. This is going to be a challenge.
Meanwhile, on the home front …. the January team is preparing and ticketing for this annual medical mission trip. Doug has his hands full but under control in bringing this team together. It’s a solid strong team of 15. It you would like to help them on this trip go to our web page and click on the help button.
Tuesday, several of our team will travel to Hansen, Idaho for a special women’s ministry meeting for the 2009 District AG Guatemala Building and mission projects. Pray for us as God uses us to share the vast needs in Guatemala’s villages.
Pray for us as we try a new territory and make this journey back to Al’s roots.
Is this the begining of many returns? …. join us as we step forward into what lies ahead …. God promises to go before us and prepare the way.
