Mission Team
Team Guatemala
Team Guatemala volunteers come from all walks of life: Teen Challenge Pastors, salesmen, janitors, security officers, housewives, and lay pastors all with full Pentecostal backgrounds.
The fruit of the team’s labor is plentiful - as lives are changed, healed, and delivered - with souls coming into the Kingdom each and every year.
No, this is not a luxurious vacation in the tropics. It is truly a physically and spiritually demanding trip which begins far in advance of the trip itself, as the team actively raises funds and collects medical supplies, clothing, etc...
Ministry:
Team Members provide leadership in general church-type services, children’s ministries, women’s ministries, crafts, and Bible study. In addition, this year we will be taking along two youth ministers, for which we thank God.
Children’s Ministry:
Clearly, the Lord instructs us with regard to bringing children into the saving knowledge of Jesus.
And our Children’s Ministry is super effective in doing just that! Our children's minister is affectionately referred to as the "Pied Piper" of Guatemala. He and his team have poured themselves out for many years and, through your faithful support, this ministry will continue until the Lord comes back.
But Jesus said,
Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:14
Women’s Ministry:
Our Women’s Ministry Team not only reaches women with sound Bible teaching, but shares new arts, crafts, and worship dance with women who are very hungry - and extremely grateful.
Medical Team:
Our Medical team takes much pleasure in providing fundamental health care and medications to those who, perhaps, have never seen a doctor, a dentist, or an optometrist.
Food:
We transport food and distribute it freely to all who gather for our meetings.
Clothing:
We collect clothing donations for each trip to Guatemala and personally distribute these goods to anyone in need.
Medical Care:
The Team includes at least one doctor and, at times, additional medical personnel. Again, donations are collected before each trip allowing the doctor and/or dentist to help supply personal medical care.
As you can see, our ministry is diverse but so greatly needed and appreciated. Most of all, the Kingdom is being expanded. |
